About Gateway for Cancer Research for the charity page:
Gateway for Cancer Research, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, envisions shaping a world in which a cancer diagnosis is no longer feared. Today, Gateway fulfills its mission by funding breakthrough and meaningful clinical trials worldwide that are designed to help people feel better, live longer, and conquer cancer TODAY. Gateway sees people, not merely “patients” or participants, and supports clinical trials that have high probabilities of advancing treatment options and improving quality of life.
How is Gateway unique?
– Gateway funds clinical trials for all cancer types including pediatrics and other underfunded cancers; as well as trials that can help people at all ages and stages of their battles with cancer.
– Gateway’s administrative expenses are generously underwritten by Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). As a result, 99 cents of every dollar donated to Gateway directly funds cancer clinical trials.
– Gateway funds clinical trials focusing on the repurposing of approved medications, new drug development, complementary and alternative therapies, and personalized medicine modalities
Get Involved: Join Team Demand
Team Demand is a national charity athlete program uniting cause and community where individuals rally together with two goals in mind – to lead an active lifestyle and to raise funds for bold, new cancer research. Athletes of all levels have represented Team Demand in competitive and family-fun events that include local run/walk, cycling, golfing, and mudathalon competitions – really, any sporting activity. Team Demand members and supporters are spreading the urgent message that better, safer and more effective cancer treatments are needed for today’s cancer patients. For every dollar received, 99 cents supports phase I and phase II cancer clinical trials funded by Gateway for Cancer Research.
