World’s Largest Corn Maze 5K
Who says kids get to have all of the fun? This past Saturday, hundreds of adults raced through the enormous corn maze at Richardson’s Adventure Farm in Spring Grove. Hosted by All Community Events, this is the World’s Largest Corn Maze 5K and is quickly becoming a fall tradition for many.
Each year the corn maze pro’s at Richardson’s artistically craft the corn maze into a new themed race. This year featured a tribute to the State’s bicentennial, complete with the face of President Abraham Lincoln, Chicago skyscrapers and tractors. A true reflection of the unique nature of our State, this corn maze is not one to miss.
All Community Events made sure that runners enjoyed the corn maze to its fullest by mapping out a 5K distance for us to run, jump and swerve our way through. Runners were released in waves so that the corn maze was not too over crowded. As with all ACE events, this was well organized and ensured a fun time by all.
Racers received a super soft baseball tee and finisher’s medal.
First through third female winners were: Sofia Witt, Angie Kasier and Sydney Mayer. First through third male winners were: Matthew Message, Daniel Kordik and Jason Larson.
