Playworks is reducing bullying, making kids feel safer, returning classroom time back to teachers for instruction, all while getting students more physically active. We partner with 18 low-income Chicago public elementary schools. We place a full-time program coordinator to bring our innovative play-based program to the schools that teaches kids valuable social and emotional skills like team work, conflict resolution and empathy both on and off the recess space. Our evidence-based program changes the entire culture of the school by using something kids already want to do – play. Please join us in making schools and communities places where all children are able to play safely.
