There will be pacers to help you achieve your goal time. Pacers will be at the start holding a sign of the pace they will be consistently running. Run with these pacers and they will help keep you on track to achieve a personal record or qualify for Boston. A finisher medal will be awarded to every participant in both the marathon & half marathon. A winner medal will be awarded to the top 3 participants, male and female, in each age group and overall for both the marathon & half marathon. Participant must be present on the event day to receive medals.
Join in the excitement as a volunteer. All volunteers receive a free event shirt for volunteering. Volunteers will help at water stations, participant check-in, course marshaling and many other places.

This event is chip timed using bib chip technology. Your “chip” is integrated with your bib. You must wear your bib visibly on your front to be electronically timed.
Last day to get personalized bib number is Monday, April 7, 2020 (date subject to change).
Runners and walkers can participate in this event as long as the participant can finish within the event time limit, see the schedule above.
All participants are required to read and sign the event waiver form.
Participant gear must be picked up at pre-event packet pick up or on event day. If you do not pick up your participant gear there will be a fee to have it mailed to you. Post race gear request registration.
No gear check. No large bags allowed on premises (police order).
It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear and detect present or potential hazards and dangers.
During hours of operation, the Forest Preserve District of Cook County is always open to the public unless otherwise noted by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Please visit Forest Preserve District of Cook County website for rules and regulations which are in effect throughout the event.
Water stations include water and sports drink.
If you ordered your race packet to be mailed to you, it will typically arrive 1 – 4 days before the event. It will be sent to the address you entered in during registration. If your package does not arrive before the event day, please come to packet pick up or the event site where you will be re-assigned your bib and gear.
If at any time you are in need of assistance throughout the event please notify a volunteer or course monitor.
No dogs. Strollers are allowed for walkers & joggers only, must start in the back of the starting corral and the parent/guardian must sign a waiver on behalf of their child(ren) in the stroller.
The event will start rain, snow or shine. The event could be delayed due to lightning or other dangerous conditions. Above schedule is weather dependent.
Like most live sporting events, this ticket/registration is non-refundable.
Actual pacer finish times may vary from the advertised pace time, times are not guaranteed.
You can transfer to a different distance within the same race up to 3 days before the event. If you are transferring to a more expensive race you’ll have to pay the difference of the registration fees.
You can transfer your registration/bib # to another participant for $6 up to 3 days before the event.
You can defer your registration to next year’s race or any other All Community Event’s race for $6 up to 17 days before the event. After that, you can still defer for $15 until the day prior to packet pick up. All deferment requests must be sent via e-mail and please include your name, the event your currently in and which event you would like to defer into.
You can manage your event shirt size and any other add-ons up to 10 days before the event.
