The Management of the Naperville Trails Half Marathon, All Community Events, believes that helping positive organizations is part of its role in the community. This is why this event helps to fund raise for Special Olympics IL. The Special Olympics IL is a great organization that, “empowers individuals with intellectual disabilities to become physically fit.”

A finisher medal will be awarded to every participant. A winner medal will be awarded to the top 3 participants, male and female, in each age group and overall. Participant must be present on event day to receive medals.

Pacers will help you achieve your goal time. At the start look for a runner holding a sign with one of the times below. This runner will run this pace consistently throughout the race and help motivate you to keep up! These runners are dedicated to help lead you to one of the goal times listed below:

Join the fun as a volunteer. All volunteers receive a free event shirt. Volunteers can help with water stations, course marshaling, registration or similar
This event is chip timed. The timing chip is disposable and is integrated with the bib number.
All participants are required to read and sign the event waiver form.
If you ordered your race packet to be mailed to you, it will typically arrive 1 – 4 days before the event. It will be sent to the address you entered in during registration. If your package does not arrive before event day, please come to packet pick up or the event site where you will be re-assigned your bib and gear.
Runners and walkers can participate in this event. See schedule for how long the course time limit. After the time limit has passed participants are not guaranteed a finish time.

Monitored Gear check will be provided. Pick up and drop off will be at the start/finish area. The event is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Headphones/iPod/mp3 devices are strongly not recommended. It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear and detect present or potential hazards and dangers.
During hours of operation Dupage Forest Preserves are always open to the public unless otherwise noted by the Dupage Forest Preserve. Please visit Forest Preserve District of Dupage County website for forest preserve rules and possible users of the trail.
Spectators should view the course map for possible spectator locations.

Packet Pick Up is a time and place where participants can go to pick up their event shirt, bib number and timing chip before the event so they can be prepared on event morning. The packet includes necessary information and/or materials for the event.
The event will start rain, shine or snow. The event could be delayed do to lightning.
September weather can be very hot or cold. It is the participant’s responsibility to be prepared to run at all temperatures and conditions.

You can transfer to a different distance within the same race up to 3 days before the event. If you are transferring to a more expensive race you’ll have to pay the difference of the registration fees.
You can transfer your registration/bib # to another participant for $6 up to 3 days before the event.
You can defer your registration to next year’s race or any other All Community Event’s race for $6 up to 17 days before the event. After that, you can still defer for $15 until the day prior to packet pick up. Please send us an e-mail to request a deferment.
You can manage your event shirt size and any other add-ons up to 10 days before the event.
