  • Charity

Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America

Donate or Start Fund Raising, click here

Since our founding over four decades ago, CCFA has remained at the forefront of research in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Today, we fund cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurture investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finance underdeveloped areas of research. In addition, our educational workshops and programs, along with our scientific journal, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, enable medical professionals to keep pace with this rapidly growing field.

It’s easy to sign up for our team – just follow the link and then choose Fundraise as an Individual or Create a Fundraising Team.  Once your personal or team fundraising page is set up family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, can go to your page and donate on your behalf.

  • General Information

This event is chip timed. Your bib contains your timing chip. You must visibly wear your bib on your front across your stomach to be electronically timed.

Gear check will be located at both the half marathon start area and 5k start area. All gear will be moved to the finish area for pick up. The event is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Runners and walkers can participate in this event as long as the participant can finish within the event time limit (see event schedule).

If you ordered your race packet to be mailed to you, it will typically arrive 1 – 4 days before the event. It will be sent to the address you entered in during registration.

All participants are required to read and sign the event waiver form to be considered a participant. See registration page for event waiver.

It is the participant’s responsibility to make sure that they do not impair their ability to hear and detect present or potential hazards and dangers.

During hours of operation the Forest Preserve District of Cook County is always open to the public unless otherwise noted by the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Please visit the Forest Preserve District of Cook County website for forest preserve rules and regulations.

Water stations include water and sports drink.

    No dogs. No Strollers.

The event will start rain, snow or shine. The event could be delayed due to lightning.

In late November weather and trail conditions can be variable. There could be a potential for ice or snow. It is the participant’s responsibility to take proper caution.

You can transfer to a different distance within the same race up to 3 days before the event. If you are transferring to a more expensive race you’ll have to pay the difference of the registration fees.

You can transfer your registration/bib # to another participant for $6 up to 3 days before the event.

You can defer your registration to next year’s race or any other All Community Event’s race for $6 up to 17 days before the event. After that, you can still defer for $15 until the day prior to packet pick up. Please send us an e-mail to request a deferment.
